Kessler Meat received a HAS (Hygiene Assessment) Rating with 96% which is in the top range of the rating system. This proves the high standard within the South African Abattoir Industry.
The installation of a 650 kvh Generator has been done to back up for power failures. This gives Kessler Meat more security for the chillers to run at any time, which is important with rising quantities accommodated.
For the independence from the municipality water supply Kessler Meat started to install a water reservoir with a own borehole and water treatment unit. This is covering one of the mayor risk of production interruptions and grants also a further increase of the productivity of the abattoir.

HIAC has finished 7 clinics in South Africa in the size from 273 to 275 sqm in the first quarter 2010.
The next 5 clinics will be finished in the month of April. Furthermore HIAC signed contracts for additional 8 clinics, which will be already erected in the month May 2010.

2009 was a succesful year for Kessler Meat - slaughtering turned out much better than even planned.
18'205 cattles were slaughtered in 2009. This is an increase of 530% in comparison to 2008. Also 40'000 pigs and 7'000 lambs had been slaughtered in the same period.
The budget figures have clearly been excelled.
At the Shareholder Meeting in South Africa the next steps for the installation of a convenience Line were agreed upon. Furthermore, we signed a LOI for the M&A of an existing processing plant. The Due Dilligence Process has been started and the take-over is expected for the first half year of 2010.

HIAC has signed 11 contracts for the construction of clinics in South Africa. The construction of the first clinic will still start in 2009 and will become finished in 2010. The complete Volume of the clinics is 9 Million ZAR.
Negotiations with the Government of Angola on the contract for 5000 social houses are in the final discussion stage. These social houses have been developed for the project and another show house has been erected in Pretoria.

Kessler Meat is looking back of a very successful first year in operation in the South African Meat market.
The Abattoir has since the takeover continuously been upgraded with the goal of reaching international production standards.
The application process for an export licence for Africa, China and Arab Countries has been passed and it is expected to receive the export licence within this month. This will lift Kessler Meat immediately in the inner circle of the best Abattoirs in the country. Perhaps even more remarkable is the fact, that Kessler Meat got at the 11th of September a reward from the department of agriculture, conservation and rural development as the third best red Meat Abattoir in the whole North West Province in 2008/2009.

HIAC developed an own type of house for Angola. The new showhouse has already been erected in Angola. Members of the Ministry of the State of Angola have visited the house and have been impressed.
The order to start the erection of the first houses will be placed in September. It is planned to start with the building-up of the first houses still this year.

INSTITUTO NACIONAL DE HABITAÇÃO, part of the housing ministry of Angola, stated in writing, that the State of Angola will order houses for the local low and medium income class at HIAC. At the first step they will order 5 000 houses in the first year. It is agreed to enter every year into a new contract.
Mr. Boshoff, the CEO of HIAC has been in intensive contact with the Government of Angola and sees a high potential in this country, as they have an Executive Program for National Housing and Urbanisation they want to fulfill.
HIAC is also discussing the possibility to erect office buildings for the Government of Angola throughout the country.

HIAC moved to new factories in China in order to increase the yearly capacity to 15 000 houses a year. In the former factory only 300 houses could be constructed within a month, with this movement we can produce 1 250 houses in a month to comply with the increasing demand.
In the factory all the developments and the assembling of the houses are tested and verified before shipment. Every separate unit is controlled and approved.

The abattoir section of Kessler Meat (PTY) Ltd. has been consequently improved.
Facility, processes and also hygiene management has been permanently upgraded.
For that reason the rating by the veterinary food inspection of Brits Abattoir has still increased and we received already a percentage of 96,9% which is the second best result in the whole area of South Africa.
That result makes us optimistic to receive in the near future the export license for the whole African continent as well.
Furthermore the slaughtering quantities have increased substantialy, so that the break-even point will be in reach. Even without starting deboning section or wholesaling. Not to mention deli production or are any other planned production of add-on by Kessler Meat.

Punter Palace will be extended. Some extra rooms are already rented in the mall for the extension. This is the next stepp on the integration of the bingo hall to the Punters Palace.
We have now applied for two LMP (Limited payout) licences, which will be granted by the authorities. We will get ten machines, which will be installed by the end of May 2009.
Win & Grin Ltd. now owns 100% of the Punters Palace.

The abattoir section of Kessler Meat (PTY) Ltd. has been substantially improved regarding facility, processes and hygiene management.
For that reason at the last veterinary food inspection Brits Abattoir has received the best rating in its whole history.
With the final percentage of 90.35 % they received the second highest rating in the province of Gauteng.
Further improvements are in implementation in order to receive the meat export license for the African continent.
The slaughtering figures have increased and are still getting better. At the moment additional contracts with new feedlots for additional slaughtering are in negotiation. We are planning to start the wholesale business as soon as possible.
All restructuring made and in planning will increase profits substantially.

This investment improves the financial background of the company and strengthens the position of the company in large transactions with government bodies and relief organizations.
It is expected to sell 15000 houses still this year.

INNOVATIS Investment Properties PTY, South Africa purchases Brits Abattoir and continues the processing of premium food.
For the operation of the abattoir the works for the founding of Kessler Meat (PTY) Ltd. are in process. Kessler Meat (PTY) Ltd will implement a new convenience food line to the abattoir in 2009.
